BRIGHTON MARINA FISHING for the East and West breakwaters

BRIGHTON MARINA FISHING for the East and West breakwaters

Sunday roundup

Top of the list today
There will be NO NIGHT FISHING TONIGHT (SUN) due to high wind forecast.
While on the issue of high winds please be awre that on looking at the weeks forecasts it is highly likely that the WEST and possibly EAST may close TUES/WED.

As both readers šŸ˜‰ may notice the lack of posts here this week. TBH it is an indication of how the last 5-6 days have been. Fairly typical of the damage that MAY ROT (algae) can do. Fish generally avoid it or try to swim under it, hence the bulk of the catches have been plaice and some dab. There have been bream but way down on the previous week. Bass are there for those with the know how & when. It truly has been a week of odds and sods with one exception
A cracking daytime conger of the East wall mid week that went 16.8lb, at time of typing I have the pic ready to upload onto the Marina gallery.
The rot is still heavy around the marina but showing signs that it is fading. We have 2-3 windy days next week and then over the Weekend a few days of Northerly breezes. With luck is should get blown out to sea and dispersed over the next 7-8 days.
Thats it tbh, sluggish days on the marina ATM but some inshore boats have had mackerel(1 or 2) so the signs are there. And with that…
I will again bid you both ADIEU
