Ok, well things are calm enough too have the west open today but will have closed by 8pm as the wind again picks up. I will be glad when it buggers off as the fishing was quite decent yesterday on both walls.
The west once shut will stay that way until things calm somewhen on Friday and I expect the west wall too be open FRI night fishing all weekend.

On the fish front yesterday despite choppy condition the mackerel came out too play with decent numbers caught on both walls. Also in with the mackies were Gar fish and as I understand it the best of them were over on the east wall.
With somewhat sloppy conditions the water was somewhat colours and it wasn’t long before the Eels came out too play with Congers of mixed sizes and silver & green eels on the catch list yesterday. Also being caught in the coloured water were some Sole caught on both walls and a Surprise 3lb-ish Mullet hooked then lost at the net on the west wall. Smaller bits n bobs down the sides of the wall included pout and blennies and just for a change, or so it seems was an Undulate caught on the East wall of which they seem this year few and far between.
No night fishing tonight or Thurs Night,
East wall open every day from 6am til 8pm
