So, we have our 1st recorded squid catch of the year on the east wall today, Mark posted to the FB group and caught by curtis

As well as the squid it has been reported that there were plenty of herring caught this morning. Along the beaches plaice catch numbers are improved on last week but im told most of the sizes are barely keepers. If you like skinny plaice barely in size I guess you will have a few to take home but in all honesty they would be better returning to grow out somewhat.

Plenty of whiting still about and a few strap congers in amongst the catches in somewhat cloudy waters.
