Brain & body now slowly catching up with itself and it seems that with the Spicer crabs slowly making their way back too see it is giving other fish the chance too again venture in closer too the wall. Granted the spiders make great bait for Bream & bass but for most people they are a PITA and tend too drive the smaller fish away and out of reach of anglers and crabs alike. The last 3-4 nights have started producing good numbers of horse mackerel and the midnight plus tides have produced plenty of bass on the west wall. Crab and live prawns still seem the best bait if you are aiming at Bass or Bream and I suspect this coming week could produce some interesting catches and species increases along both walls.
Since Monday especially on the west the Bream are proving quite active around the high tides, as too other species, well Sunday saw a 21lb conger and 2 very nice slabs of dover sole but if im being honest I am sorta still waiting on other catch news especially as the night dude only seems too notice Bream and bass, very strange and hopefully I can catch mark up for a better picture of the last few days on the marina. Im lead too believe that John may be working the day shift down there so I may also get some info from that side of things.
most of the days I have been down there this week the bulk of visitors I have seen are or have been fairly late/recent arrivals and when that happens it is hard getting a clearer picture of goings on unless it happens too be a fishy high tide sort of day.
Not a lot else too say thb, the walls seem strangely mackerel missing and if it wasnt for the incoming horse mackerel at night Id suspect that the crabs were still here and plaguing the walls still!
Ho hum I guess I will sign off on a short post and simply saythat, until the next one I will bid you all ADIEU
